Most parents and students are thinking about their educational choices for 2016.
Many deadlines loom in January to make decisions.
Many decisions are difficult to make as they may involve a financial commitment (higher education) or personal or family commitment eg switching schools or programs which can take an emotional toll on one or many of the family.
Decisions have to be made but my best advice is to go with your gut - don't pick a program or school for prestige or what you think others want - pick what is best for you.
Parents - listen to your kids - do they want to make the change or school selection? Success comes in many forms and while we all as parents want the best for our children - we do need to listen to what they want as that will be part of their success and enjoyment of school.
It is hard to persevere at school if it's not a commitment by all parties involved.
Good Luck to all in 2016!
